Want to get a jump start on a career while still at school? If you've got a green thumb and like to get your hands dirty, this may be perfect for you.
Trainee would learn plant species, grounds maintenance, mowing, whippersnipping, tree planting, and tree propagation. Horticulture tradesperson maintains plants and planted areas, construct horticulture features, and apply treatments to improve plant growth and improve plant growth and control pests. Horticulture tradespersons usually work outdoors and in all kinds of weather. Some of the work is physically demanding.

This position is suitable for students in Year 10 or 11 who have an interest in plants, the environment and enjoy working outdoors.
