Chairman's Leadership Group
Skill360 Australia was formed by businesses just like yours who wanted access to a reliable source of apprentices and trainees in a group training arrangements. We have grown since that time, however we have remained true to our core values which is why Skill360 Australia continues to have the trust and respect of employers.
As one of the nation's leading apprenticeship and training provider, Skill360 Australia is proud of its strong links with business, both large and small. In order to ensure that our services remain relevant to the needs of business, Skill360 Australia established the Chairman's Leadership Group.
With a membership of business leaders from various industry sectors, this peak consultative forum provides an opportunity for high-level dialogue to discuss:
- The training needs of business in the short, medium and long term;
- Development of flexible training methods that support the needs of employers and employees;
- Initiatives to increase the uptake of apprenticeships and traineeships;
- Promotion of a culture of life long learning amongst employers and employees; and
- Impacts of changing technology and its effect on skills acquisition
Importantly, the Skill360 Australia Chairman's Leadership Group is used by the Chair and senior management at Skill360 Australia to secure honest, unbiased advice about the quality of services.
The agenda for each meeting is set by business and the outcomes of each meeting are noted, with progress reported at following meetings. In this way the Skill360 Australia Chairman's Leadership Group is able to assess its progress in changing the culture of vocational education and training.
The Skill360 Australia Chairman's Leadership Group meets every three months and the agenda for each meeting is set by the Principals themselves. Issues discussed include initiatives to promote school-based traineeships, building links between schools and industry and developing career paths for students who successfully complete their school-based traineeship.
