If your chosen career requires you to do your tasks at an elevation, it is likely that you either operate in, or are looking to move into, the following areas of employment:

Along with these fields, this study area is also relevant to employees in other industries where undertaking tasks at an elevation is part of their role, but not the primary aspect of their duties – such as storemen in warehouses and people entering the mining industry.

By completing this one-day qualification, you will satisfy the necessities to obtain a Statement of Attainment that meets legislation requirements.

Delivery & Specifications for RIIWHS204E Work at Heights Course

This one-day Work at Heights course will teach you everything you need to know to comply with current occupational health and safety legislation and perform your job confidently when elevated. 

An assessment is conducted in a written and practical format to determine whether you gained knowledge and skills of the key learning outcomes throughout the day. 

These are held with realistic expectations relevant to legislative requirements. We will address every aspect you will be assessed on.

Throughout the day, we will cover the following topics:

  • Hazards
  • OH&S Policy
  • Risk assessment
  • Safety systems
  • Equipment & tool inspection
  • Codes of practice
  • And other relevant areas.

Learn how to perform tasked activities safely at:
Shailer Park QLD – the 3rd Tuesday of each month 
37-43 Commercial Drive, Shailer Park QLD 
Cairns QLD – the 1st Monday of each month
1 Wilkinson Street, Manunda QLD 

Course Fees & Funding Availability
Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) funding is available for eligible students. As an independent funding body, they help individuals who may have financial obstacles towards gaining relevant qualifications. 

To determine whether CSQ may be relevant to you, please get in touch with Skill360 RTO by emailing rto@skill360.com.au for more information about the eligibility criteria.

If you are eligible for CSQ funding, you will be allocated $225, leaving a total cost of $10 left for you to cover.

However, full fee-paying participants who do not qualify for CSQ funding will be required to pay $225. A student’s employer may cover the costs in some circumstances, this is not guaranteed and is dependent upon the employer.
