Do you own a small business in the building or construction trade? Skill360’s Small Business Program is fully subsidised by CSQ for eligible participants which aims to increase the capability and capacity of small building and construction businesses in focus areas that industry have identified as a priority.

Our approach to delivery is tailored to suit the needs of a small building and construction business that includes workshops and mentoring/coaching in the workplace in areas of work that are occurring day to day or in the near future. The small construction and building businesses work with our business growth teams to identify their top 1-3 priority focus areas which will feed into the mentoring and coaching that will occur in the workplace.

Participating businesses can attend 5 face to face workshops from December onwards covering the following:

  • Vision/Strategy/Goals
  • Marketing
  • Financial Management
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Building & Maintaining Client Relationships

Who is eligible?

To be eligible to access the fully subsidised training by CSQ, participants must be:

  • an owner of an eligible building and construction small business; or
  • an employee of an eligible building and construction small business who is directly involved in the day to day running of the business.
  • an Australian or New Zealand citizen; or
  • a permanent resident of Australia; or
  • a refugee and humanitarian visa holder.
  • permanently residing in Queensland;
  • be permanently employed in Queensland.

Eligible building and construction small business means a business with 20 or fewer employees that conducted building and construction work in the Queensland Building and Construction Industry and are based in Queensland.

Stephen has worked with a wide cross section of professionals, ranging from individuals to small & large groups, including: Small and Large Business/Not-for-profit/Community associations and professional executives. He focuses on identifying and articulating the essential vision and values required by executives, business managers and employees in the modern workplace or current economic climate.
