You must have proficient English language, literacy and numeracy skills to engage effectively in learning and assessment.

What You'll Learn

This Skill Set provides individuals an introductory overview of the skills and knowledge required to both investigate and plan for the development of a new micro business. It’s ideally suited to those establishing or operating a business providing self-employment, as well as those establishing a new venture as part of a standalone or larger organisation, this course provides an overview of business functions including:

  • Research required to formulate business plans
  • Development of business plans for achieving goals and objectives

This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to identify, research, and evaluate potential business opportunities.

It includes assessing market needs, considering financial viability, and determining resources required to establish a micro business.

This unit focuses on creating a comprehensive business plan for a new venture. It involves setting objectives, outlining operational strategies, planning finances, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

The assessments for this course are delivered online, giving you the flexibility to study at your own pace while receiving dedicated support from your trainer and assessor.

You’ll have full access to our Learning Management System (LMS), where you can:
